Description
Goliardo A Telleira Albariño 2018, was born from the work done in the Forjas del Salnés Winery. Only 900 bottles are made.
Although the appearance of this winery in project dimension is recent, its journey began many years ago. It is known that the current generation that works today the property planted, already in 1912, the oldest vineyard that they work today, El Torno farm of 2,000 m2 dedicated, for 97 years, to the cultivation of the Albariño variety located in the town of Meaño.
From here, and starting from the self-regulation achieved by the strain fruit of age, other plots planted by the two generations that now coexist in the winery (on the one hand, José Manuel Méndez Lázaro and his son Rodrigo Méndez Arosa) are venerated today.
Currently, the winery manages around 3.5 hectares of vineyards owned and 3 hectares for rent distributed in several plots located in different parts of the municipalities of Meaño, Sanxenxo and Barro all of them in the province of Pontevedra.
Tasting…..
- Golden yellow with certain green tones. Slow-falling tear.
- On the nose, white fruit predominates. Sweet fruit next to certain citrus fruits, light memories of wood and an attractive mineral background.
- It is a wine with a good volume in the mouth. Unctuous, fatty and with a great acidity. Balanced, harmonious. In the mouth the minerality reappears along with a pleasant saline memory and a point of bitterness.
