Zamburiñas Rosa Lafuente; Zamburiña is a bivalve mollusk belonging to the family Pectinidae. Its meat is edible and its appearance is reminiscent of scallop, another bivalve mollusk.

The capture of this mollusk is mostly made on the Galician coasts through the fishing gear of bottom trawling and is known throughout the world for its use in cooking and for the quality of its preserves.

We proceed to taste them and ……

  • The color has changed from the natural ones due to the sauce, reddish.
  • It shows a firm texture and a flavor between sea and land (species) highlighting the onion and clearly reminiscent of galician empanada.
  • If possible accompany them with a good Albariño.
