Description

Description

Valduero Reserva 2012; It is made with the best grapes from strains between 15 and 25 years old. Subsequently, after a traditional winemaking the wine goes through an aging of 30 months in American, French and European oak barrels. Finally, Valduero Reserva rests for 18 more months in the bottle to achieve its final refinement.

It conquers us already in sight with its intense garnet color and its high layer. Its aromas of coffee and tobacco remind us of its aging, while the memories of ripe red strawberries tell us about the quality of the fruit that allowed it to become wine. In the mouth it is forceful and expressive, with fleshy tannins and the elegance that only time is able to give away. It exhibits an intense mineral character that recalls the humid earth and a comforting feeling of warmth sustained by the aromas of leather and spice box that we so easily associate with the classic Riberas of long aging.

Its balance is impeccable and in its long finale the memories of black cherries and blackberry liquor are interspersed with those of incense, forcing us, almost hopelessly, to bring our lips back to the cup.

Tasting…..

  • Valduero Reserva has a granatose cherry color, covered, vivacious and with a bruised edge. It forms marked tears visibly colored in the cup.
  • Aromas reminiscent of coffee, tobacco and wood.
  • Blunt and fleshy, serious and powerful tannins.
