Description
Guímaro Finca Capeliños Mencía 2017; It is a red wine produced by the winery Guímaro under the designation of Origin Ribeira Sacra. It is a small family winery with little production, but it produces wines of excellent quality.
The fermentation is done with native yeasts of the vineyard itself during 50 days in wood cone. Once the fermentation is carried out, a slight manual pressing is applied, before going to ageing, which takes place during 12-14 months in French oak barrels of 225 litres.
Guímaro Finca Capeliños is a wonderful Mencía. A wine “brother” of sin, the wine that the well-known winemaker Raúl Pérez elaborates using the facilities and grape of Bodega Guímaro. In total, 6-8 barrels are produced, which are distributed between the two wines.
