Description
Do Ferreiro Cepas vellas Albariño 2016; It Is A white wine that differs from the other Albariños of the winery because it comes from centenarian Vines. There Is documentation, in the winery itself, of farms already dedicated to the vineyard in 1850.
The Estate is located in the valley of the Salnés and has an extension of one hectare. It Is estimated that these strains can be approximately two centuries old, since they are pre-phylloxera.
They do not usually produce more than 5000-9000 liters, depending on the year. It is ideal for taking and saving several years. He has spent 11 months in a steel tank on the lees until he bottled.
Tasting……
- Pale yellow colour with golden reflections and greenish glints. Very bright and clean in glass with formation of light tears.
- Its broad olfactory nuance leads us from ripe white fruit, citrus notes, ripe quince, a tropical fruit spot, white flowers, herbaceous and mineral notes to creamy, lactic notes and a lightly smoked spot.
- It is fresh and harmonious, with a broad, creamy and very expressive step. It Has a living acidity that makes it refreshing and a long and persistent finish that will leave a wide aromatic memory by way of retronasal.
