Queso de Tetilla, is probably the best known of galician cheeses with Denomination of Origin Cheeses of Galicia, for its unmistakable shape and the tasteful softness of it.

It is made from Galician pasteurized milk and has a minimum maturation of 7 days.

Cheeses with a protected designation of origin, AS IN THIS CASE, intended for consumption shall be fitted with a numbered label or counter-label, issued by the Regulatory Council, which must be placed exclusively in the authorised registered cheese shop.

The name of this appellation of origin shall be included in the labels of each er used in the cheeses covered.

Milking: full product, no colostrum, no preservatives, no inhibitors and no medications.

  • It is white-ivory paste, soft at the same time creamy and uniform, with few eyes and regularly distributed.
  • Soft cheese, with a slight acidic touch and accompanied by a dairy flavor, unsalty and buttery.
